Goa Science High School took nine gold medals at the district athletic meet, holding the overall track title for a third consecutive year.
The haul came from both ends of the programme: golds in the 100 and 200 metres for the sprint squad, and a clean sweep of the 1500 and 3000 metres on the distance side. The 4x100 relay team set a district record that had stood since 2019.
Eleven athletes advance to the provincial meet in October. Six of them are in Grade 9 or below, which the coaching staff read as the more durable result.
Morning training resumes at five thirty on the oval, with conditioning moved indoors on rain days now that the laboratory annex corridor is available.
